I am fascinated by light. A clichéd comment from a photographer, I know, but I am. This explains my two-pronged career path of lighting designer and photographer. Two sides of the same coin, as far as I am concerned. Create with one, capture with the other.

I am also absorbed by multi-faceted beauty, things which are aesthetically, functionally, efficiently and purposefully beautiful. Buildings, clocks, cars, plants.....

I am not sure if I am an artist, as I do not think I am trying to provoke a response or convey a message with my photographs, other than perhaps 'look at this, isn't it amazing'.
