Find Us @ The Focal Space

Our photography studio, The Focal Space, is in Stevenage, Herts and can be easily accessed by car and public transport. Stevenage has a mainline station on the London Kings Cross to Edinburgh line, with fast trains leaving Kings Cross every half hour, taking 20 - 25 minutes. The station is a 20 minute walk from the studio or 5 minutes by taxi. We are also a just a short distance from the A1(M) motor way and have plenty of free private parking right outside the studio.

By car from the A1(M)

Exit the A1(M) at junction eight and following the signs into Stevenage. After going straight ahead across two roundabouts you will join a small one way system, follow this round to the right. At the next right hand bend take the left exit onto the High Street. You then immediately come to a mini roundabout, at which you turn left into Walkern Road. Pond Close estate is 50 yards down Walkern Road on the left hand side.

Walking from the Train Station

Turn left out of the ticket barriers and cross over the road on the foot bridge, then left and down the steps to street level. Keep going in the same direction as the steps, straight ahead towards Tesco. Enter the Tesco car park and cross towards the large arched footbridge at opposite end of the car park. Climb the stairs up to the footbridge and cross over a dual carriage way, there should be a large round-about down on the left and a pet super store ahead on the right. After the bridge, continue straight ahead, along Ditchmore Lane. Continue straight ahead under the underpass and onto the High Street in the Old Town. At the mini round-about continue straight ahead along High Street, passing Waitrose on your left about half way down. Just after the Mariott Hotel, turn right onto Walkern Road and you will find Pond Close estate 50 yards down on your left.

Satellite Navigation

A quick note to Satellite Navigation users, for some reason our postcode, SG1 3QP, seems to lead people to a school just round the corner from us. So, if you find yourself outside Thomas Alleyne School in Olde Swan Court you need to come back out onto the one way system and drive straight ahead onto the High Street. After two dozen yards you will come to a mini round about, at which you need to turn left into Walkern Road. Then we are in Pond Close Estate, which is just 50 yards down Walkern Road on the left.
