Dance Photography @ The Focal Space

Dance photography is our speciality at The Focal Space, particularly ballet, jazz and contemporary dance; with our team having over 23 years combined experience working in professional theatre. One of our greatest assets is our studio manager, Marion, a classically trained ex-dancer. Whilst our photographer, Paul, focuses on the dance photo from a creative point of view, Marion will be watching out for all the little details that a dancer would be concerned with, like pointed feet and relaxed hands and expressions. This leaves Paul free to concentrate on the lighting, composition, and capturing the moment perfectly.

We are committed to working with individual dancers in our studio, to capture portfolio, z-card and audition photos; as well as accepting commissions from dance companies and arts organisations to create marketing and publicity images. Student dancers and young performers are also catered for with a generous discounted package for these up and coming performers.
